When last we left the Cog Crew, they had set foot in the Travel City of Cosnick. Darvin had managed to stumble upon a secret society, while Sabin came face to face with the Brotherhood of Iron, the dwarves that controlled the technology that powered the city. Tensions rose, and rather than end up in The Cellar, the Brotherhood’s prison complex, Sabin returned to the Gambler.

Normally, I try to balance out our episodes with a good balance of in-game story and table talk. I want our podcast to feel like you’re at our game, hanging with us, but you’re also in the story, feeling what the players feel when they’re immersed in the world. To keep that balance, sometimes I have to save something for the outtakes at the end of the episode.

That all changed with Episode Six: Dayturnal. We had conversations that were too off-topic to keep in the episode, but when I put them together at the end, it was way too much to just tack on afterwards. So I decided to leave a bit for Dayturnal, and save the rest for this episode.

Last we left our friends they had just accepted a job from a goblin named Haversack, who was willing to pay the group to kill his ex-master deep in the Echo Forest. The problem is, the Echo Forest is named as such for it’s piercing ringing, which drives anyone who stays within it mad. The group’s Forged needed a way to protect their hearing, and so they turned to a local ritualist named Lexter to help them through arcane means. He was willing to do so, in exchange for a favor at a later date.

We return now as the group finds a way to kill time while Lexter works his ways…

What’s up everyone? I’m Pedro, the DM and Creator of the World Walkers Universe, a homebrew series of worlds that I’ve been telling stories in for over twenty years. In my other podcast, World Walkers, a group of adventurers are traveling between worlds, looking for the shattered remains of a dream island that can drive back the nightmares that threaten to tear existence apart.
